FIREPROOF: A Strong Pro-Marriage Movie
by FamilyDads · Filed Under: Marriage
Just a short note to give you heads up about a movie being released on DVD on Tuesday called Fireproof that has a strong pro-marriage message.
It was produced on a $500,000 budget and has already taken in over $33 million in just the US alone! If you saw the movie at the theaters, you know what an action-packed storyline it has.
Kirk Cameron (from the hit TV show “Growing Pains” in the 80’s… remember it?) stars as Caleb, a courageous daring firefighter willing to rescue anyone from a burning building, but unwilling to fight for his own marriage that is going up in flames.
Caleb and his wife Catherine spiral downward in their relationship and look separately to their friends and co-workers for advice about bailing out of their marriage. and fighting and looking to their friends and co-workers for advice about their marriage.
Just as Caleb is ready to file for divorce, his father asks him to delay his decision for 40 days and presents him with a book called “The Love Dare.” I won’t spoil the rest of the movie for you.
You can watch the Fireproof movie trailer here.
