John Piper on Prayer
by FamilyDads · Filed Under: Faith
Perhaps the most relevant message for us dads today… as leaders of our families and in our work… is prayer – intentionally seeking God, regular times of talking with Him, and listening to Him carefully.
In this short clip, John Piper makes a statement that, when related to our families, is riveting…
“Prayer should be the visible engine of my family” … the visible engine of my family.
Please post any comments or thoughts you have after watching this clip.

Outstanding…John Piper is a giant of the faith and a bold communicator. Thank you, Joey, for passing this video and its reminder on to us. God bless!
Stirring reminder – appreciate Piper’s passion and Joey, thanks for including something so important, yet so often overlooked.

How true – in all my Christian life – I was Born-again in 1957 – the most difficult thing I have had to cope with was my inability to have a meaningful prayer life! Yes, I pray -and try not to have a shopping list, or only when I have a need – but, it still is a hard thing for me to put into practice. No one seems to be able to advise you on personal prayer habits, because what works for one, may not work for another. The reality of the presence of God in my life is my continunig goal. The Word says that we should pray unceasingly – yet, a most difficult thing to do!
Yes, I’m not satisfied with my efforts to fulfil the likes of Lamentations 3: 25, “The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to those who seek Him”.
Keep on keeping on!
