Dad Video: Team Hoyt, Dick and Rick Hoyt, Father-Son Team
by FamilyDads · Filed Under: Fatherhood
This is one of the most moving videos I have ever watched. Dick Hoyt, you are an inspiration to us fathers. I think I can speak for dads everywhere in saying, “Your strong, simple, unconditional love for your son and desire to be a family dad is both humbling and encouraging to all of us!”

To dick and rick, trully is are example of a Love between father and son,i was so inspired that everytime i watch the video it really touches my heart and my hearts start to cry in tears,,,, hopefully all the fathers out there would have a chance to see this video coz it really inspires relationship in the family… If only everyone comes from the space of true love, what a wonderful world we may have..
i will help in sharing this video to my friends so it may help them realize whats true love is… thank you very much and more power to the both of you and your family…
Wow! It almost seems like it’d be easier to sacrifice for your child like that if they were in that condition. Dobson once said that “when we’re expecting a child we hope and pray that they turn out normal, but then from the moment they are born, normal will never be good enough.” Rather than pushing our kids to be what we think they should be, we should be pushing them like Mr. Hoyt pushes his kid – pushing them through life with support, sacrifice, and unconditional and extremely deep love. Thanks for sharing.
Many thanks for this lovely video, which shows a REAL LOVE, perhaps the LOVE God wants everyone of us to share not only with our love ones, but with our neighbors as well. I can see that this great dad has God in his heart, and he is a very good example for the rest od dads around the world. Thanks again and the peace be with you.
I saw the father/son team in person at a fund-raising event a few years ago. Wow…heart-wrenching stuff. They are a terrific team. And they certainly make you think of all the things you take for granted. Stop just for a moment and count your blessings. (By the way: It’ll take more than a moment to count them.)
Thanks for sharing!
Wow, this just showed me that a father’s drive and strength to push his son over the finish line should be what every father strives to be. If we just put our energy in pushing our family to be the best they can be, God will provide and open doors so we can leave a legacy. Outstanding!!!!!!
